Every morning is literally a new day – the slate wiped clean from yesterdays messiness and with new challenges and adventures in sight.
Baby Magoo did great yesterday, sleeping in his bassinet for basically the first time in his life – he even went to bed in it even though I pulled him into bed with me for his first night feeding. I have to say I just love waking up to him in the morning – his tiny little warm body so close to mine still. I love that. I miss the quiet newborn snuggles in which I would cat nap at the hospital, with no distractions. I love waking up to him.
My quiet cup of coffee was amazing this morning too – in the quiet buzz of the news on TV as the two little ones still slept.
Then duty called as Little Magoo woke up, softly making noises in his crib – he’s always smiling when he gets up in the morning.
…and the best thing of all this morning – the sun. The beautiful sun appearing after days of cold gloomy rain and along with it comes hopes of early spring warmth and walks outside in fresh air.
Not every morning is like this, I’ll tell ya – but it’s the little enjoyments that make the day so big.
